Ryo Okuda relocated from Japan to Los Angeles in 2009, shortly after earning his Toyota Master Technician credential. He spent eight years at Toyota dealerships and earned his ASE Master Technician certification in 2018. Ryo’s expertise has earned him a loyal following—customers drive in from as far as Las Vegas and San Clemente for his signature inspection service.

30K, 60K, 90K & 120K Service
These are your major service intervals. During each visit, we change the oil; flush the coolant, transmission fluid, and differential fluid; rotate the tires and inspect the shocks and brakes; and—with your approval—replace the air filter, cabin air filter, and spark plugs. This comprehensive service keeps your vehicle running smoothly and helps prevent costly repairs down the road.
OIL CHANGE & LUBE SERVICE
Plenty of places will change your oil, but we go further: we change your oil and filter, check and top-off all fluids, inspect your brakes, tire tread and pressure, axle boots, shocks, and lights, look for leaks underneath, and reset your maintenance light. Service you expect—service we deliver.
BRAKE REPAIR & SERVICE
Our brake specialists keep you safe on Los Angeles roads by maintaining your vehicle’s braking system. When brakes wear down from everyday driving, our certified mechanics inspect brake lines for leaks and evaluate the condition of rotors or drums. TUNE-UPS
Tune-ups are a key part of any preventive-maintenance program. Bring your vehicle in at the recommended intervals so we can replace (or, when appropriate, clean) the spark plugs, check ignition components, and adjust critical settings. On older models we also inspect the distributor cap and rotor, and carbureted engines still benefit from a tune-up performed by a mechanic who understands those systems.
12-VOLT AUXILIARY BATTERY
We carry AGM 12-volt auxiliary batteries for direct replacement. If it’s been a while since your 12-volt battery was replaced, you may want to consider a new one—hybrid vehicles need a strong 12-volt source at all times. Even a slightly weakened battery can trigger a host of mysterious faults with your vehicle.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
The check-engine light is your vehicle’s most important warning indicator. Never ignore it, because it can signal anything from minor faults to serious problems. Issues may range from an engine misfire to something as simple as a loose gas cap—so finding the exact cause is crucial. Our service team can quickly diagnose why the light came on and recommend the right fix.
HYBRID BATTERY / HYBRID SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
If your hybrid battery is starting to fail, the quickest, most reliable, and longest-lasting solution is to replace it with a brand-new genuine Toyota battery. Based on our experience, we no longer recommend rebuilt or aftermarket packs—we trust only genuine manufacturer units. Eco Drive stocks brand-new genuine batteries at a lower price and with a longer warranty than the dealer offers.
COMPLETE HYBRID SYSTEM CLEANING
We offer a complete hybrid-battery system cleaning service. Vents, filters, and cooling fans should be cleaned regularly to keep your battery performing optimally and prevent overheating.
