What is Paradise Cove Beach?<\/h3>\n<p>Paradise Cove Beach is a beach on private property in Malibu, California, located about 13 minutes by car and 6.8 miles from Malibu Pier.<\/p>\n<p><mark class=\"hl-yellow\">While the beach itself is relatively small, it&#8217;s one of the popular beaches due to its hidden gem charm and peaceful environment that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city.<\/mark><\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; max-width: 600px; height: 450px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d1653.4696735003513!2d-118.78674909999998!3d34.0197678!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x80e818ddb2bb782f%3A0xd831d31a685521d7!2z44OR44Op44OA44Kk44K544O744Kz44O844OW44O744OT44O844OB!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sus!4v1725923397008!5m2!1sen!2sus\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"styled_h3\">2. About the History<\/h3>\n<p>Paradise Cove Beach was once home to the Chumash Indian tribe.<\/p>\n<p><mark class=\"hl-yellow\">In the late 1800s, it was known as &#8220;Smugglers Cove,&#8221; where many founders of California&#8217;s Chinese community secretly landed.<\/mark><\/p>\n<p>It later became part of the Marblehead Land Company owned by the Rindge family.<\/p>\n<p>They built a private railroad to prevent the Southern Pacific Railroad from passing through their land.<\/p>\n<p>This railroad was 15 miles long and was primarily used to transport agricultural products.<\/p>\n<p>The Rindge family later tried to block the construction of the Pacific Coast Highway (now PCH: Pacific Coast Hwy), but eventually had to sell part of their land in the 1940s.<\/p>\n<p>The Paradise Cove land was then bought and sold by several owners, and <mark class=\"hl-yellow\">in the 1950s, the Morris family, who are still the current owners, acquired the land.<\/mark><\/p>\n<p>They purchased about 70 acres at $3,500 to $25,000 per acre. (Reference: 1 acre is about 4,047 square meters, Tokyo Dome is about 11.5 acres)<\/p>\n<p><strong><mark class=\"hl-pink\">From the late 1950s through the 1960s, the beach became so popular that many movies and TV shows were filmed there.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><mark class=\"hl-yellow\">Bob Morris, son of Joe Morris who purchased the land, returned to Malibu with his family and opened Paradise Cove Beach Cafe in 1998, utilizing his experience.<\/mark><\/p>\n<p>This still hugely popular beach and cafe is bustling with tourists and locals every day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16652\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ecodriveondemand.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u30a2\u30a4\u30ad\u30e3\u30c3\u30c1-26.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"440\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"styled_h3\">3. Paradise Cove Beach Cafe<\/h3>\n<p><mark class=\"hl-yellow\">At this cafe, the terrace seating and indoor seating have separate reception areas.
